FRISCO - FC Dallas and the Portland Timbers will square off at Toyota Stadium in just under an hour, as the top sides in the Western Conference battle for early season supremacy. Let's take a look at the lineup for FCD:
Second Time Around
After dressing Tesho Akindele and Roland Lamah opposite each other on the wings for the first time last week, Oscar Pareja will roll an identical Starting XI out against Portland tonight. Look for Dallas to continue to attack heavily down the right with combination from Lamah and Hernan Grana, while finding big bodies - like Akindele and Maynor Figueroa - pressing into the box to finish crosses. Like we saw last week, Michael Barrios will provide a late spark off the bench against a hopefully worn out left side of the Timbers' back line.
Urruti vs. Portland
Maxi Urruti will start up top in the sole-striker 4-2-3-1 look and will face his former club for the fourth time since the start of last season. After notching an assist on the game-winning goal in his return to Portland one year ago, he'll be looking to find the back of the net for the first time against them tonight.
Seitz Returns
FC Dallas called in Jacob Lissek from USL affiliate OKC Energy FC last week to occupy the bench with Chris Seitz out, and signed him on loan from OKC this week in a deal announced before the game as a precautionary measure if Seitz was still unable to go. Seitz is, however, healthy enough to return to the 18-man roster after missing just one game - a pleasant late surprise to the FCD staff. I'd expect Lissek to be sent back to Oklahoma this week barring any injury tonight.
