LINEUP NOTES: FC Dallas vs. San Jose Earthquakes | 5.20.17 -

FRISCO - FC Dallas will look for the full three points at home after back-to-back draws as the San Jose Earthquakes make their lone visit to Toyota Stadium in 2017. Let’s take a dive into the lineup Oscar Pareja thinks can get the win.

Midfield Maestro

Javier Morales returns to the starting lineup for the first time since late April and the fourth time all season as FCD returns to a 4-2-3-1 look after back-to-back 4-4-2 starts. Maxi Urruti will be the lone striker up top with Roland Lamah and Michael Barrios down the wings.

The defensive combo of Maynor Figueroa, Matt Hedges, Walker Zimmerman, Hernan Grana and Jesse Gonzalez will start for the fifth consecutive match. Kellyn Acosta and Carlos Gruezo will patrol the defensive midfield together for the eighth time this season.

Ferreira Sighting

Although not in the 18-man roster, Homegrown Jesus Ferreira warmed up as the extra 19th player before tonight’s match. There in case of a last-minute injury in warm-ups, the 19th player is not a glamorous role, but the first time Ferreira was warmed up with the first team before a league match and could be a sign that he’s nearing selection for Oscar Pareja.

History Watch

  • The next FC Dallas assist will be the 1,000th in franchise history
  • SJ’s Chris Wondolowski will tie Landon Donovan for the MLS record in away goals (63) with his next away tally
  • Should Victor Ulloa see time in the match, it would be his 99th MLS appearance. Only seven other Homegrown players have played in 100 MLS matches
