FRISCO, Texas - Head coach Luchi Gonzalez makes multiple changes to his starting lineup as FC Dallas takes on Austin FC at Q2 Stadium for the very first time tonight, Aug. 29 at 7:00PM. Here's the lineup notes, presented by UnitedHealthcare.
Servania Starts
Homegrown Brandon Servania gets his first start of the season as he comes in for Bryan Acosta who is suspended through yellow card accumulation. Servania plays in midfield alongside Edwin Cerrillo in front of Dallas’ backline. It’s the 22-year-old’s first MLS start since September 24, 2020.
Phelipe in for Maurer
There’s a change at goalkeeper as Brazilian shot-stopper Phelipe steps in Jimmy Maurer who picked up a knock during training earlier this week. It’s Phelipe’s fourth start of the year and his first since May 16. Maurer joins fellow keeper Kyle Zobeck on the bench tonight.
Hedges Starts
FC Dallas captain Matt Hedges rejoins the starting lineup in place of Bressan who injured his shoulder in Dallas’ last outing against Houston. This is Hedges’ fifth start and ninth appearance overall this season. He lines up next to Nkosi Tafari in central defense.
