FRISCO, Texas - Head coach Marco Ferruzzi makes on change to his lineup as FC Dallas takes on LA Galaxy tonight, Oct. 23 at 9PM at Dignity Health Sports Park. Here's the lineup notes, presented by UnitedHealthcare.
Maurer in Goal
The only change to the lineup is the return of goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer who makes his first start since September 30. The 33-year-old replaces Phelipe who was handed a suspension following an altercation after FC Dallas' home match against LAFC on Oct. 20. Kyle Zobeck is on the bench to back up Maurer who's making his 21st start of the season.
Franco Jara
Franco Jara retains his place as center forward after scoring a goal in Dallas' 3-2 loss to LAFC. Fellow forward Ricardo Pepi has also returned from a minor foot injury and is available on the bench after missing out on Wednesday's clash with Bob Bradley's side. It's Jara's 11th start and 26th overall appearance this campaign.
Homegrowns
FC Dallas begins with an all-Homegrown midfield for the third game in a row. Edwin Cerrillo, Jesús Ferreira and Brandon Servania will occupy the center of the park, with Cerrillo protecting the backline, Servania playing box-to-box and Ferreira operating as the creative outlet behind the forwards.
