FRISCO, Texas - Head coach Marco Ferruzzi fields an unchanged lineup as FC Dallas takes on San Jose Earthquakes in the final game of the regular season tonight, Nov. 7 at 5PM at PayPal Park. Here's the lineup notes, presented by UnitedHealthcare.
Obrian
Jáder Obrian starts at right wing meaning he's featured in all 34 matches for FC Dallas this season (25 starts, nine sub appearances). The Colombian has scored eight goals and added four assists over his first MLS campaign, good for third-most on the team. Homegrown Paxton Pomykal starts opposite Obrian on the left wing.
Tafari
Defender Nkosi Tafari starts consecutive matches for the first time under interim head coach Marco Ferruzzi. The second-year center back was a staple under former coach Luchi Gonzalez, starting 18 games in FCD's backline. Impressively, Tafari has started six of Dallas' seven wins this season and will look to make it seven for eight this evening in San Jose.
Pomykal
Paxton Pomykal starts at left wing once again for his 31st appearance of the season, the most of his career. It's been a promising comeback for the 21-year-old after playing just five times in 2020 due to hip surgery. Pomykal has registered one goal and two assists so far and will look to combine with defender Ryan Hollingshead down FCD's left flank.
