FRISCO, Texas - Head coach Luchi Gonzalez makes four lineup changes as FC Dallas takes on San Jose Earthquakes at Toyota Stadium tonight, Sept. 11 at 7:30PM. Here's the lineup notes, presented by UnitedHealthcare.
Pepi Returns
Homegrown Ricardo Pepi is straight back in the starting lineup after missing Dallas' last match while away with the U.S. Men's National Team for World Cup qualifying. The 18-year returns in great form after scoring his first USMNT goal and adding two assists in the U.S.'s 4-1 win over Honduras. Pepi will be looking to add to his team-leading 11 goals this season.
Hedges Starts
Captain Matt Hedges returns to the Starting XI after being an unused substitute last time out. Hedges partners José MartÃnez in central defense while Nkosi Tafari moves to the bench after starting the last 16 matches. It's Hedges' eighth start and 11th appearance of the year.
Fullbacks
Dallas' fullback pairing tonight is Ema Twumasi and Justin Che. Twumasi shifts from his usual right back spot over to the left in place of Ryan Hollingshead who's unavailable with a foot injury. Che returns to the starting lineup for the first time since July 25 after missing five games through injury. It's Twumasi 10th start of the year and Che's seventh.
