FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas returns home looking to add another three points to their standing after a big win over Kansas City on the road. Let's take a look at tonight's Lineup Notes, presented by UnitedHealthCare.
ATTACK ON THE HUNT
FC Dallas seems to have found a rhythm along the front half of the attack after a positive game against Sporting Kansas City. Jesus Ferreira dropped back to the 10 with what appeared to be a lot of comfort, as well as a good set up for scoring opportunities against a tough defense. Dominique Badji, Michael Barrios, and Santiago Mosquera continue to hold the top and have a good sense and understanding of what's been working to create opportunities.
DON'T MESS WITH A GOOD THING
The backline has been showing its skill over the past few matches, including a building number of shutouts from goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez. The backline had been struggling to close the last few minutes of matches, but seemed to have found the solution last week where they shutdown Kansas City's offense more than once. The veteran status and understanding along the backline continues to build and provide leadership as players continue to shift around the field positionally with a fluid roster.
HOMEGROWN TALENT
FC Dallas continues to see a number of Homegrown talent on the 18 man lineup week in and week out. Midfielder Brandon Servania seems to have taken stake in his starting position in the midfield, as well as players such as Jesus Ferreira, Paxton Pomykal, and Reggie Cannon who consistently make the lineup. We have even seen a number of Homegrowns build into consistently being a sub option, or seeing playing time throughout the game such as defender Bryan Reynolds.
