BACK TO 4-3-3

After a 3-4-1-2 look a week ago on the road, FCD moves back to its preferred 4-3-3 look at home with one shift, moving Paxton Pomykal to the left wing and adding Bryan Acosta back to the midfield alongside Carlos Gruezo and Edwin Cerrillo. Acosta returned to action last week after an ankle sprain saw him miss a pair of matches. Look for Pomykal to drift in from the left and create space for Ryan Hollingshead on the overlap down the left side. Acosta will play the most advanced role in the midfield, with Gruezo sitting centrally and Cerrillo playing the No. 6 role.

IRONMAN HOLLINGSHEAD

Having played in every minute of all eight matches to date this season, Ryan Hollingshead is set to surpass his entire minutes total from a year ago in Dallas' final match of April. Appearing in 18 matches with just seven starts a year ago, the defender played 766 minutes - a mark he will surpass in the opening minutes of the second half today. Hollingshead's career best seasons to date came in 2015 and 2016, eclipsing the 2,000 minute mark in each.

BADJI'S RETURN

Dominique Badji makes his return to an 18-man roster for FCD after missing a month of action with a hamstring injury. The striker played perhaps his best match of the season on the left wing against Colorado the match before he was injured in training and Gonzalez said this week that it's very likely Badji could come off the bench against the Earthquakes.
