FRISCO - While FC Dallas awaited their Sunday match-up, a trio of players on loan made their professional debuts for USL affiliate OKC Energy FC on Saturday night.
Francis Atuahene scored the match's lone goal in the sixth minute, Jordan Cano went a full 90 minutes in the shutout and Ema Twumasi came off the bench for the final 30 minutes of action as Energy FC downed in-state rival Tulsa Roughnecks FC, 1-0.
Atuahene took home Man of the Match honors after finishing the night with three shots on target, two tackles, two blocked shots and 80 minutes played. His goal came off a fantastic individual effort to intercept a ball in the midfield, make a 20-yard run down the wing and fire a shot from the corner of the penalty area.

“Scoring the goal felt great,” Atuahene told EnergyFC.com after the match. “It’s something that I’ve always wanted to achieve when I was in Ghana. I was just excited and happy to score.”
Cano had two interceptions, two shots and went 2-for-2 on duels in a quiet night defensively for OKC with Tulsa managing just two shots on frame. Twumasi had three shots of his own and an interception in his first half hour of work for Energy FC.
The Greens head to Arizona to take on Phoenix Rising FC next Saturday at 9PM CT.
Elsewhere in USL action on the night, Adonijah Reid was available in the 18-man roster for Ottawa Fury FC in their 2018 opener, but did not see time as the Canadian side fell 4-1 to Charlotte.
