FRISCO – The 18th overall pick in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft has his first professional goal. On loan with the Tulsa Roughnecks, FC Dallas’ Jacori Hayes scored in the USL side’s 3-0 win over Phoenix Rising in front of the home crowd on Sunday.
The 22-year-old jumped on the ball as it bounced around in a goal mouth scramble. He took one touch around a Phoenix defender who was sprawled out on the ground and gently placed the ball past the goalkeeper.
His goal made the match 2-0, and Tulsa would add one more in the dying minutes to down Didier Drogba and Phoenix. The Roughnecks move to sixth place in the Western Conference on 25 points.
