FRISCO - After a strong performance across the board against Atlanta, FC Dallas had it's biggest week yet on MLS Team of the Week, with a week-high three players and head coach Luchi Gonzalez named to the league's best in Week 8.
Jesse Gonzalez, and Matt Hedges put themselves on the Team of the Week after strong defensive showing allowed Dallas to come out of Atlanta victorious. Hedges led the three-man back line in the middle and had 7 clearances, 1 interception and 1 recovery on the day. Gonzalez accumulated a season-high 7 saves, 1 punch and 7 successful passes in the match.
Michael Barrios made the bench thanks to a pair of assists and the pressure along the front line that opened up both scoring opportunities for FC Dallas. Barrios also had 7 successful passes, and 1 recovery against Atlanta.
Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez was named as the coach after his adjustments and tactics allowed FC Dallas to stay in the game, and adjust to allow for opportunities to score.
