Brandon Servania’s first brace spearheads FC Dallas in dramatic victory

Frisco, TX – A see-saw affair which featured eight goals ended in a victory for FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium Saturday night.
Game Summary
First Half:
- 11’ – A mistake by Jesse Gonzalez gave the ball to Minnesota in the FC Dallas box, and a few shots were blocked off the line. Eventually the ball ended up at the feet of Ethan Finlay, who couldn’t miss from six yards.
- 28’ – A loose ball made its way to Barrios, who slipped it to Ryan Hollingshead for a fierce drive that found the top right corner leaving Mannone with no chance equalizing the game for FC Dallas.
- 32’ – Mosquera hurrieddown the wing and his shot flew over Mannone and bounced off the far post before nestling in the back of the net to give FC Dallas a 2-1 lead.
- 40’ – Barrios beat his defender to a loose ball to get in behind the defense, and Mannone came out and knocked the ball away from the FC Dallas winger. Jesus Ferreira followed up the Barrios chance, but it was cleared off the line.
- 41’ – A ball played over the top was only half cleared, and Finlay lofted the ball over Jesse Gonzalez and into the net to draw Minnesota level at two all.
- 45’ – Paxton Pomkyal found face and fed Barrios, who found an onrushing Reggie Cannon who squeezed his shot underneath Mannone to give FC Dallas a 3-2 lead heading into halftime.
Second Half:
- 64’ – A great one-two between Ferreira and Badji put the Senegalese striker clear, but Mannone got down well to push his rasping drive wide.
- 73’ – Hassani Dotson cut in off the wing, beat two defenders and hit a rocket into the far corner that tied the game 3-3.
- 85’ – Pomkyal drove forward and found Barrios who squared for Brandon Servania to tap in to give FC Dallas a 4-3 lead.
- 90’ + 3’ – A short corner routine put Pomykal into the area and after dancing through the defense, he squared for Servania’s second goal of the night.
