In FC Dallas' 1-0 loss to Columbus on Saturday, the 28-year-old appeared for the 213th time - eclipsing Bobby Rhine for second all-time in appearances for the club. It was a moment Hedges recognizes as special, but one he would've rather celebrated with points on the road.

"It’s a cool milestone but, you know, I’m just disappointed we didn’t get any points here on the road," Hedges said. "It’s nice to pass Bobby Rhine, I mean he was a great player, you know a legend in the club, but I was just worried about the result today."

If the defender continues his average of 30 appearances per season over the course of his first seven seasons, he'll be in position to set the all-time club record sometime in early 2020 with Jason Kreis' mark set at 247 games.

"I just want to go out and win and play and do what I love to do, but you know it’s a cool thing to have your name up there in the top of the ranks for the club."
