FRISCO — Maxi Urruti was named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 30 after his performance in FC Dallas' 2-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sunday evening.
In the first half, Santiago Mosquera scored his fourth goal of the year on a header after a free kick from Maxi Urruti in the 42nd minute.
Late in the match during the 87th minute, Maxi Urruti sent a corner kick into the box and Michael Barrios flicked on a header at the near post. Matt Hedges' header gave them the edge they needed to end the match 2-1 and three more points. As a result, FC Dallas jumped over Sporting Kansas City to regain the top spot in the Western Conference. This is the first time Urruti has been named to the MLS Team of the Week this season.
