After three rounds, seven matchups and over 4,500 votes, we have a winner in the 2013 FC Dallas Goal of the Year competition!


This year's first edition of the award goes to Michel who earned 60% of the vote with his olimpico vs. Seattle Sounders FC scored on May 18th at CenturyLink Field to defeat Jair Benitez's long-range strike vs Vancouver in the championship round.


FCD's 32-year-old Brazilian burst onto the scene in 2013 quickly becoming a fan favorite with his trademark free kicks that saw him log three assists early in the season. It was this game at Seattle in which Michel truly broke into the national scene, tally both the goal and an assist on Kenny Cooper's goal in the 4-2 loss to make headlines around the league. In all, Michel finished the season with three goals and eight assists finishing tied for third on the team in goals and second in assists.
