Rodriguez helped North Texas to the 2019 USL League One title in his first professional season
FRISCO, Texas –North Texas SC has loaned midfielder David Rodriguez to Atlético San Luis of Liga MX for six months with an option to buy, pending league and federation approval.
Rodriguez, 18, joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2017 and scored 10 goals in 13 games before signing with North Texas SC on Feb. 10, 2019 ahead of the club’s inaugural season. Rodriguez’s first professional goal came on May 23, 2019 and was assisted by his older brother, Arturo, against Forward Madison at Toyota Stadium. In all, Rodriguez played 30 games over two seasons with North Texas and scored two goals and added an assist along the way. The midfielder has also been called up to two U.S. Men’s National Team camps at the U-17 level.
