North Texas SC vs FC Tucson Match Preview | 6.25.19 -

Current Form
North Texas SC experienced its second loss of the season with a 4-1 defeat away to Forward Madison on Saturday. While the loss looks bad on paper, North Texas’ squad was majorly depleted with multiple starters away in the USSDA Playoffs taking place in California. North Texas was forced to start assistant coach Michel Garbini Pereira in midfield to make up the numbers. Regardless of the mitigating circumstances, Eric Quill and co. will be hungry to bounce back from their largest-ever defeat against FC Tucson at Toyota Stadium.

The Opponent
FC Tucson is currently going through one of its toughest stretches of the season. The Arizona side has only won win in its last five games, and with only six points separating fourth place and tenth place, a win against North Texas would be crucial for Tucson to remain in contention for the playoff spots.

Players to Watch
Ronaldo Damus
is again the player to watch for North Texas SC. The Haitian forward scored his seventh goal of the season on Saturday to tie teammate Ricardo Pepi in the League One Golden Boot race. Having scored North Texas’ last four goals, Damus is certainly a player to keep an eye on Tuesday night.

Midfielder Jamael Cox is the player to watch for FC Tucson. The midfielder has been instrumental for Tucson’s attack. He leads the team with two assists and is the second top scorer with two goals. Cox is also the club’s most creative player having recorded 12 chances created so far this season—the most of anyone on the team.
