El Plástico
North Texas SC created an artificial rivalry with Forward Madison during the regular season since the teams were scheduled to face each other four times, the most matchups of any two teams in League One. North Texas won both its games at Toyota Stadium and Madison won its two games at home as well, creating a draw in the regular season series. Although Madison would've won the rivalry due to a superior goal difference from four games, the two teams also met in the playoff semifinal making that the ultimate tiebreaker. North Texas won 2-0 in the semifinal thanks to a brace from Ricardo Pepi, giving North Texas the first El Plástico title.
