FCD Lineup: Seitz, Atiba, Hedges, Figueroa, Lamah, Acosta, Gruezo, Grana, Barrios, Urruti, Tesho

FC Dallas and the defending Champions of Argentina traded chances in the opening minutes of the match. Harris saved a ball off the line on one end before Maxi Urruti forced a Lanus defender to do the same at the other end inside the first five minutes of the game.

Lanus took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute after Alejandro Silva received a pass in the left side of the box, faked a shot, cut past a defender and lifted the ball over goalkeeper Chris Seitz.

Hernan Grana and Urruti showed strong chemistry to connect with a long run down the right flank in the 19th minute. The pass relieved the pressure on Dallas and the turn in momentum produced a second opportunity for Urruti just three minutes later, when the Argentine came free on the right side of the area an attempted to pick out the far side-netting with a low, hard shot. The Lanus goalkeeper made an outstanding save to preserve the lead, diving far to his right side to push the shot wide of the post.

FCD produced the first chance of the second 25-minute frame when Figueroa, Barrios, Urruti and Acosta combined to create a chance on the right side. Urruti combined with Acosta on the final pass at the far post but a diving save from a Lanus defender kept the score 1-0.

Urruti earned a free kick for Dallas in the 35th minute. Acosta stepped up to take the kick, lobbing a ball to the near post that was headed just inside the near post by Harris to make it 1-1.

Barrios stepped in to win a ball for Lamah in the 40th minute. The winger had a long look at the goalkeeper before hammering a shot just wide of the back post. The match finished deadlocked, 1-1, shortly after.

Match 2: FC Dallas Reserves 0, Lanus Reserves 2

FCD Lineup- Gonzalez, Chala, Guillen, Hume, Cannon, Hayes, Cermeno, Pomykal (Reid 42), Morales, Ferreira, Colman. (4-2-3-1).

Dallas' second unit played Lanus' reserves to a 0-0 draw through the first 25 minutes. Jacori Hayes and Carlos Cermeno battled hard in snuff out chances in the center of the pitch while Pomykal and Morales prodded forward in search for a way through the home team's defense.

Aaron Guillen turned a pressing defender and lobbed a ball up the left flank to Pomykal in the 35th minute. Pomykal combined with Hayes and sent a cross into the area for Cristian Colman but the pass sailed high of its destination.

Four minutes later Reggie Cannon flew up the right flank and nearly gave FCD a lead. The Homegrown's shot from 12 yards out looked like it would trickle across the goal line only to have a Lanus defender knock the ball away from danger at the last second.

A cross from Lanus mixed up Anibal Chala and Jesse Gonzalez in the 39th minute. Chala tried to control the ball with a short header played back to the goalkeeper but Gonzalez went the other direction and the pass rolled across the end line to give Lanus a 1-0 lead.

A great run from a Lanus midfielder forced Guillen to surrender a penalty kick to Lanus in the 43rd minute. For the third time on the trip, an FC Dallas goalkeeper got a hand to the penalty kick attempt but Gonzalez was unable to keep it out of the back of the net.

The match finished seven minutes later, 2-0, in favor of Lanus' Reserves. Dallas plays its final match of the preseason trip to Argentina tomorrow before traveling back to Frisco.
