Frisco, TX (August 18, 2021) – FC Dallas (5-9-6, 21 points) was defeated 0-1 by Seattle Sounders FC (11-3-6, 39 points) at Toyota Stadium Wednesday night. 

Game Summary

First Half:

  • 15’ – SHOT (DAL) – Bryan Acosta sent a powerful right-footed shot from outside the box after he received a ball from Ryan Hollingshead in the midfield but his shot was slightly wide and missed the top left of the goal.  
  • 20’ – SHOT (DAL) – Jesús Ferreira fired a volley from outside the box but Spencer Richey was alert and blocked the shot which was later cleared by Seattle’s defense.

Second Half

  • 47’ – SHOT (DAL) – Ricardo Pepi nearly found the back of the net early in the second half after he received a ball from Ferreira at the top of the box but his first shot was stopped by Richey and Pepi fired a rebound shot that missed to the right. 
  • 52’ – OFFSIDE GOAL (SEA) – Kelyn Rowe tried a through ball to Will Bruin inside the box but he was caught offside and had his goal called back.  
  • 63’ – GOAL (SEA) – Raúl Ruidiaz collected his own rebound and fired a shot that struck both the crossbar and posts and eventually ended in Jimmy’s goal.
