Game Summary
First Half:
- 4’ – Carlos Vela linked up with Eduardo Atuesta outside of the box, and Vela’s left-footed strike ended in the bottom left corner of Jimmy Maurer’s goal.

- 11’ – Vela nearly doubled the lead for LAFC with a curling free kick near the top of the box, but his shot hit the post and was cleared away by FC Dallas’ defense. 

- 27’ – Jáder Obrian connected with a cross from Justin Che, but his header went over the crossbar.

- 37’ – Bryan Acosta’s corner kick found Ryan Hollingshead near the penalty spot but his shot went wide after being deflected by LAFC’s José Cifuentes.

- 43’ – Cifuentes took a shot at the top of the box that headed for the left side of the goal only to be punched away by Maurer for a corner kick.
Second Half
46’ – Nkosi Tafari crossed the ball across the box to connect with Ryan Hollingshead who tried for a header, but it was saved by Romero.

58’ – Cifuentes took a shot in the middle of the box only to be saved by Maurer.

66’ – Maurer denied Vela twice within a minute by saving the first shot with his right foot and second shot with his left knee. 

70’ – After VAR review for possible offside, Blessing’s close-range goal following a low cross from Vela is awarded to give LAFC a 2-0 lead. 

77’ – Latif Blessing sent a through ball to Diego Rossi whose right-footed shot was saved by Jimmy Maurer.
85’ – Andrés Ricaurte fired a left-footed shot from outside the box, but his shot went over the bar.
