FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas defender Reggie Cannon made his Concacaf Gold Cup debut for the US Men's National Team on Saturday in a 6-0 victory over Trinidad Tobago in the second group stage match of the tournament.

Cannon was brought into the match for Nick Lima in the 84th minute, and he came on with an immediate impact.

In the 90th minute, Cannon delivered a pass from the right side of the 16-yard box into the center, which found Weston McKennie. The latter hit a one-touch volley on goal, but it was parried up into the air by the Trinidad goalkeeper. The ball fell to the chest of Aaron Long, who tapped the ball into the back of the net for the US' sixth goal of the match.

The US secured a spot into the knockout rounds of the Gold Cup following the victory, and it currently sits at the top of Group D. The Americans will play one last group stage match at 8 p.m. Wednesday night against Panama.
