FRISCO - Forward Ricardo Pepi has been named ranked as #6 on the 2019 USL 20 Under 20 list. This year's edition spotlights the brightest players born before January 1, 1999 from both USL League One and the USL Championship.
Pepi has been one of the standout forwards from League One's inaugural season. The 16-year-old lit up the opening weekend with a hat trick on his professional debut, earning him the first USL League One Player of the Week award. Pepi continued his blistering form, accumulating seven goals from his first six games before signing a Homegrown contract with FC Dallas.
"It feels good," Pepi said on the recognition. "I feel I've had a great start to my professional career but it doesn't mean anything if I don't keep putting the work in. But I'm happy for it and I'm just going to keep grinding."
The forward is currently tied for fourth in the League One Golden scoring charts with nine goals from 12 appearances. Pepi has also contributed with one assist and has been named to USL League One Team of the Week on five occasions.
