FRISCO, Texas (Monday, June 1) – Newly signed midfielder Rolando Escobar and striker Blas Perez were called in by the Panamanian National Team for two international friendlies against Ecuador this week, FC Dallas announced today.
Panama first faces Ecuador on Wednesday, June 3, at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Panama City, Panama. The match is set to kick off at 8 p.m. CT. La Marea Roja then travels to Estadio Reales Tamarindos in Portoviejo, Ecuador, for a match this Friday, June 6, at 4 p.m. CT.
Escobar made his initial appearance for FC Dallas this past weekend, when he came on for Perez at halftime and played the final 45 minutes of the match.
Perez has logged a total of 836 minutes and has knocked in five goals and an assist this season. He ranks third all-time in FC Dallas history with 36 goals in 74 starts.
