FRISCO – Ryan Holllingshead and Mauro Diaz were named to the MLS Team of the Week for their performances against the LA Galaxy and LAFC.
Hollingshead started his first two games of the year this week and tallied points in both games. He had a goal and an assist in the 3-1 win over the Galaxy on Wednesday. In his encore performance, he assisted on Roland Lamah’s goal, which ended up being the game-winner against LAFC.
Diaz had two assists in the Galaxy game, now totaling eight for the season. That number gives him the second highest in the league, He trails Red Bulls midfielder Alejandro Romero Gamarra by one assist for the league-lead, but Diaz has done it in 204 less minutes.
