In one of the biggest soccer events to hit DFW in recent years, the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals hit Cowboys Stadium tonight as Honduras faces the United States and Mexico plays Panama in a blockbuster doubleheader. The timing is perfect for Schellas Hyndman and FCD to turn their attention away from the grueling MLS season for a moment or two with only the Stoke City friendly to focus on this weekend.
"ItÂ’s great for the community to have a chance to see the four teams coming in to Cowboys Stadium, one of the best stadiums anywhere on the face of the earth," Hyndman told reporters after a light practice on Tuesday. "I think having Blas [Perez] play for Panama; this is going to be a huge game."

While Perez is the only FCD player taking part in Wednesday's games, Hyndman is excited to see all four teams play in what should be extremely exciting affairs.
"We know how the Hispanic community is so anxious to support the Mexican National Team," said Hyndman. "Panama has been playing well. And then of course Honduras, which we know have a good following in the community as well, against our favorite team the United States. ItÂ’s good to see Brek Shea back playing in Dallas. They had a good game last weekend, so we hope they do well."
