FRISCO- FC Dallas will have a short week this week to compete in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Oklahoma Energy FC.

CURRENT FORM

• FC Dallas is coming off a draw against the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. They snapped a six-game winless streak the week before over Seattle Sounders FC at Toyota Stadium, but are still looking to build a positive streak in there season moving forward. Oklahoma Energy FC has had a busy schedule progressing through Open Cup as well as regular season matches. Following their win over Tampa Bay on the 28th, the Energy drew against LA Galaxy II in their last regular season match. 

HOW THEY GOT HERE

• Energy FC has played two games in the Open Cup so far to advance to the Fourth Round. They beat NTX Rayados, 3-1, in the Second Round and beat the Tampa Bay Rowdies, 4-3, on May 29th in the Third Round. This will be the fourth time in the past five years that OKC has advanced to the Fourth Round of Open Cup to face an MLS team.

MISSING PIECES

• Both OKC and FC Dallas have missing pieces heading in to the match due to international call-ups. Throughout their busy schedule Oklahoma City is taking another hit losing four players for the Concacaf Gold Cup. They will be missing midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson, forward Cordell Cato, defender Alvin Jones, and defender Mekeil Williams as their vigorous schedule continues to test their perseverance. FC Dallas will regain Paxton Pomykal, Edwin Cerrillo and Brandon Servania this week after the U.S. U-20s lost to Ecuador this past weekend. They will still be missing Bryan Acosta, Carlos Gruezo and Pablo Aranguiz.

OPEN CUP HISTORY

• FC Dallas has played Oklahoma Energy FC twice, both times in the Open Cup Fourth Round. Dallas has a promising history in their Open Cup Fourth Round performances, winning the majority of their matchups since 2003 with a record of 8-2 in the fourth round. Oklahoma City has traditionally performed well in Open Cup, advancing to the Fourth Round or further in four of the past five years as well.
