STORY LINES

Back on Track
FC Dallas has returned to form with back-to-back 1-0 wins following a seven-game winless run which moves the club back up to fourth place in the West. But it wasn't just the positive results that has the feel-good factor flowing again. Dallas struggled to maintain leads during its winless run but Nico Estévez and co. turned it around with two shutouts where they led for 76 minutes and 81 minutes respectively. The renewed defensive solidity comes at a great time ahead of Tuesday's matchup against the Seattle Sounders whose frontline features U.S. international Jordan Morris and star playmaker Nico Lodeiro.

FrancGOAL Jara
Forward Franco Jara made the most of his fourth start of the year with the lone goal in FCD's 1-0 win over LA Galaxy Saturday night. While it was only his third goal of the MLS campaign (he scored two in the Open Cup as well), they've all been game-winning goals and vital to Dallas' march towards the postseason. Jara has been largely utilized as a substitute under Nico Estévez (he has the second-most sub appearances in MLS with 17) but Saturday's showing proves he can be just as useful from the start as off the bench.

Clean Sweep?
FC Dallas has a chance to achieve a sweep over the Seattle Sounders for the very first time. Dallas has never defeated the Sounders both home and away in the same season since Seattle joined MLS in 2009. FCD already has one win in the bag after beating Brian Schmetzer's men 2-0 in the reverse fixture on May 7 at Toyota Stadium. But winning at Lumen Field Tuesday night isn't an easy prospect: Dallas has just one win at the venue in 13 regular season attempts and that was back in 2011. FC Dallas will be fighting for history as well as three points in the Emerald City.
