  • SEA record: 9-3-5 (32 pts., 1st in West)
  • FCD vs. SEA all-time: 7-12-7 (28 GF, 42 GA)
  • FCD vs. SEA away: 1-9-2 (8 GF, 29 GA)

CARRY MOMENTUM

  • For the first time this season, FC Dallas enters a match on a two-game win streak. FCD earned back-to-back wins over Western Conference contenders LA Galaxy and Sporting KC in the space of a week. Now, Dallas will try to complete the trifecta and defeat the West’s top ranked team in the Seattle Sounders.

Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez: “We’ve worked hard to earn the points in the last few games, and had performances that showed energy and intensity in the group that help us get points. But we have to continue to do that and improve and do it better because Seattle is going to be a very difficult test.”

RETURN TO LUMEN FIELD

  • Wednesday's game sees FCD return to Seattle and Lumen Field for the first time since the 2020 playoffs where Dallas fell 1-0. Historically, the stadium has been a difficult venue for Dallas, with the club registering a 1-9-2 record there. Still, FCD hasn't lost by more than one goal in Seattle (including two playoff matchups) under Luchi Gonzalez.

Goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer: It’s a tough place to play, they’ve got a good crowd, good atmosphere. They’ve got their artificial turf that they play on that’s a little bit different but we’re ready for it and we’re ready to give it everything we’ve got."

FRONT FOUR

  • Dallas looks to have found an attacking combination that clicks. The front four of Ricardo Pepi, Paxton Pomykal, Szabolcs Schön and Jesús Ferreira have all started the previous two games together and combined for five of Dallas’ last six goals. Not only are they gifted on the attacking end, but all four work tirelessly off the ball to help protect the midfielders and defenders behind them. This attacking quartet will need to click once again to trouble Seattle’s league-best defense.

Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez: “I think they’re getting fitness, getting rhythm and they’re getting synchronizations. They’re building in their confidence both offensively and defensively. They’re making big sacrifices for the team and getting behind the ball. These are the things that take time and a process but we’re going to keep working to synchronize them.”
