We all know that Tex Hooper is the best mascot around, but FOX Soccer recently took a look at all the mascots in MLS and our beloved bull came in at No. 4 on their list.
LA's Cozmo finished first on the list, even though no one really knows what Cozmo is... Timber Joey in Portland was No. 2, which is pretty good for a human in a mascot ranking... and Sparky, the Fire's mascot came in third, which is respectable considering the number of fires he's had to deal with in Chicago the past few years.
Here's what they had to say about Tex:
You have to give credit to Tex Hooper — he knows how to work a crowd. We had a lot of photos of Tex to choose from here: Waving a flag, behind a camera pretending to be a sideline photographer, holding up a sign to rile up the crowd, giving out high fives and fist pumps. He’s got swagger, which is fitting because that’s just how No. 1 FC Dallas play on the pitch.
