Top Ten Moments of 2016 - #3 - Carlos Ruiz's dramatic game-winner vs Seattle

Last week, we had FCD staff and local media determine the top 10 moments of 2016 and then had you rank them over the weekend. Today, we continue the top 10 countdown with #4 and will count down through Friday!

Bienvenido Pescadito.

When FC Dallas brought back legendary forward Carlos Ruiz for the final three months of 2016, it was for exactly this reason. Exactly this moment.

FCD needed four points from their last two games to take home the Supporters' Shield but the task wouldn't be easy with eventual MLS Cup winners Seattle and the always-tricky LA Galaxy on the horizon.

Behind 1-0 at halftime, Dallas battled back against Seattle with Maxi Urruti scoring a scrappy goal to tie up the match, but heading into the final minutes it was still in the balance. Introduce Carlos Ruiz.

El Pescadito took a delicious chip from Mauro Diaz and flicked home a typical poacher's effort in just a straight beautiful play from start to finish. What a goal, what a moment and what a player Carlos Ruiz has been throughout the last 15 years.
