The 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs were an unforgettable month-long run for FC Dallas. From Fabian Castillo's slick strike in Seattle to FCD's furious comeback that fell just a whisker short against Portland, November 2015 was filled with some of the most exciting moments Toyota Stadium has ever seen.
Get buckled up, because we're going to do it all again in a four-day span.
THE REWIND: FCD 2, POR 2
It all starts on Wednesday against Portland and who can forget the two-legged Western Conference Final last year. Set piece defending doomed Dallas in a 3-1 loss at Providence Park to open the series. However, you knew FCD would stage a thrilling comeback and Frisco and they sure did.
Quick-fire strikes from Ryan Hollingshead and Blas Perez set up a wild final ten minutes with Nat Borchers' heroic block denying Perez a series-tying goal before Lucas Melano sealed the series with just seconds remaining.
FCD got a small measure of revenge at Providence Park a few weeks ago with a 3-1 win, their first-ever in Portland, but we need to double that revenge on Wednesday night.
THE REWIND: FCD 2, SEA 1
On Saturday, FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders FC meet up for the first time since perhaps the most exciting night in Toyota Stadium history last November.
Twice in the last ten minutes of the match, FCD scored equalizing goals to send the match to extra time before Jesse Gonzalez made two penalty kick saves to secure FC Dallas passage through to the Western Conference Finals at an absolutely electric Toyota Stadium.
Not only are these playoff rematches, but FC Dallas can extend leads in the standings over both Cascadia sides in crucial Western Conference standings so get your tickets now as we re-live the 2015 playoffs this week.
Get ready, it's going to be a fun week at Toyota Stadium.
