FRISCO, Texas (Feb. 10, 2022) - North Texas SC has signed defender Paul Bello Amedume on loan from Pacific FC, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval, in addition to his ITC and work authorization. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bello Amedume, 18, joins North Texas SC on loan for the 2022 season.
“We’re very happy to have Paul join us for the 2022 season,” said North Texas SC General Manager Matt Denny. “He’s a promising player who’s worked with our coaching staff before in the Canadian Premier League and we believe he can help us during our inaugural MLS NEXT Pro campaign.”
Born in Toronto, Bello Amedume played youth soccer with Edmonton Internazionale SC and the St. Nicholas Soccer Academy before joining the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Residency Program in 2017. After his time with the Whitecaps, Bello Amedume played in the BTB Soccer Academy U-21 team beginning in 2020. On October 26, 2021, Bello Amedume signed a developmental deal with Pacific FC of the Canadian Premier League and made his debut under current North Texas SC head coach Pa-Modou Kah on the same day.
