ARLINGTON, Texas (April 23, 2025) – North Texas SC (3-3-2, 12 points) defeated The Town FC (0-3-1, 1 point) 2-0 on Wednesday night from Choctaw Stadium, with goals from Gavin Gall and Tarik Scott.
FIRST START FOR AARON ESSEL
Midfielder Aaron Essel made his first start for North Texas SC after debuting last match against Colorado Rapids 2 as a substitute. Essel joined the club on loan from St. Johnstone FC on April 8.
GALL-AZO
Defender Gavin Gall scored his first professional goal. Gall, the club’s seventh signing from its annual open tryouts, becomes the third open tryout signee to score for North Texas SC.
BIRTHDAY BOY STRIKES
Forward Tarik Scott converted a penalty in the 55th minute to notch his third goal of the season. With the goal, Scott reaches 15 career goals for North Texas SC and moves to fourth on the club’s all-time scoring list.
