FRISCO, Texas - North Texas SC forward Gibran Rayo was included in the USL League One All-League Second Team for his standout performances over the 2021 campaign.
Rayo, 20, was a near ever-present figure in North Texas SC's lineups, featuring in 27 of the club's 29 games (including 23 starts) during the 2021 season. He finished as the club's top scorer with seven goals as well as adding two assists. The Dallas native also registered 24 Key Passes, 16 Interceptions and 14 Tackles. Rayo earned USL League One Team of the Week honors twice for Match Weeks 3 and 14.
Rayo signed with North Texas SC on Jan. 15, 2020 after spending three seasons in the FC Dallas Academy. In all, he's played 52 times for the club and scored nine goals. Internationally, Rayo has represented Mexico at the U-16 level and most recently the United States at the U-18 level.
