Frisco, Texas - North Texas SC has signed forward Gabriel de Morais and defender Lucas “Lucão” Gabriel Da Silva Teodoro on loan from F.C. Alverca, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
The players join the club on loan for the 2021 and 2022 seasons with options to buy.
Gabriel de Morais, 19, played 18 games and scored five goals over the 2020/21 season between F.C. Alverca’s U-19, U-20, B team and first team. He was a product of Athletico Paranaense’s youth system in Brazil’s top division.
Lucão, 19, played 17 times and scored two goals between Alverca’s U-19, U-20 and B team during the 2020/21 season. Prior to joining Alverca, Lucão played for Ituano FC’s youth teams in Brazil.
Earlier this month, de Morais and Lucão helped F.C. Alverca’s U-21 team win the Lisbon Football Association’s U-21 Championship. The pair is the second and third players North Texas SC has signed from F.C. Alverca, along with defender Caiser Gomes.
