FRISCO, Texas (March 11, 2022) - North Texas SC has signed goalkeeper Felipe Carneiro to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Carneiro, 18, joins North Texas SC on a one-year contract with an option for the 2023 season.
Born in Recife, Brazil, Carneiro joined the Sao Paulo FC academy during the 2019-20 season. He made 10 appearances during his first year at the club, while maintaining three shutouts for the U-17 team. In his last season for the U-20 academy, Carneiro played 28 matches and kept eight shutouts during the 2020-21 season.
