FRISCO, Texas - North Texas SC is in the USL League One Playoffs for the second time in three seasons and will take on third-seed Chattanooga Red Wolves SC on Saturday, Nov. 6 at CHI Memorial Stadium. This quarterfinal matchup is somewhat of a grudge match for North Texas as the club was unable to register a win in any of its four regular season meetings with the Red Wolves. North Texas had to settle for two losses and two draws, with Chattanooga scoring a stoppage time in goal in each of the last three meetings. There were also a combined 17 cards (16 yellows and one red) over the four games.
North Texas enters the game in better form than the Red Wolves. Eric Quill’s side earned three wins and a draw in its final five games while Chattanooga registered just one win and three losses to end its regular season. Still, North Texas must flip the script on its regular season difficulties against Chattanooga to progress to the semifinals where top-seeded Union Omaha awaits.
