FRISCO, Texas - North Texas SC players Thibaut Jacquel and Eddie Munjoma were named to the USL League One Team of the Week for their contributions in the club's matches against Chattanooga Red Wolves and Forward Madison FC last week.
Jacquel only played 14 minutes over the two matches but made a crucial impact nonetheless. The Frenchman entered Saturday's game in the 76th minute with North Texas trailing Forward Madison 1-0. In the second minute of added time, Jacquel stepped up to a free kick just outside Madison's box and placed it into the far corner to steal a point for North Texas and extend the club's unbeaten streak to six games.
Munjoma also found the back of the net this week after scoring the opener against Chattanooga Red Wolves last Tuesday, Aug. 17. The fullback connected with Blaine Ferri's cross and headed the visitors into the lead in the 31st minute for his second goal of the season. Munjoma also registered a team-high three tackles, nine duels and two shots on target.
