FRISCO – The FC Dallas Academy and Pre Academy teams hosted Andromeda FC and the U-15 and U-14 Pre Academy teams also played Solar Chelsea SC over a weekend that saw the squads go a perfect 7-0-0 while outscoring their opponents 26-3 collectively.
FC Dallas U-18s: 3
Andromeda FC: 1
The U-18s beat Andromeda 3-1 on Saturday. Forward Bobby Edet scored the first goal in the 12th minute off a cross from Victor Portillo. Portillo picked up another assist in the 49th minute when he set up Yannick Koffi's goal to give FC Dallas a 2-0 lead.
Andromeda climbed back to within one when defender Trey Pujats scored on a free kick in the 77th minute, but Edet scored his second of the game a minute later to end the scoring at 3-1 in favor of FCD.
The U-18s remain atop the Frontier Division with an overall record of 10-3-2.
FC Dallas U-16s: 3
Andromeda FC: 0
The U-16s' shutout streak reached five games this weekend after beating Andromeda 3-0. The scoring didn't start until the second half when a Nicholas Zaldana corner kick took a deflection off a defender for an own goal in the 52nd minute. FC Dallas was awarded another corner kick in the 68th minute that was also taken by Zaldana and headed home by Jeff Withers for the 2-0 lead. The final goal of the match came in the 73rd minute when defender Wilfred Williams carried the ball up the right flank and sent in a low driven cross for Sebastian Gordillo to finish.
Goalkeepers Sawyer Williams and Estevan Vasquez split the duties between the posts for the U-16s to help secure the team's eighth clean sheet of the season.
The U-16s remain in third place in the Frontier Division with an overall record of 11-2-2 and two games in-hand over the first-place Houston Dynamo and second-place Solar Chelsea SC, respectively.
FC Dallas U-15s: 2
Solar Chelsea SC: 0
The U-15s pulled double duty this weekend, starting with a match against Solar Chelsea SC on Saturday. The U-15s beat Solar 2-0 thanks to goals scored by Richard Tapia and Weston McKennie.
FC Dallas U-15s: 3
Andromeda FC: 0
The next day the U-15s faced Andromeda and posted a sixth straight shutout to remain undefeated. Sebastian Venegas, Duncan James and Eric Davies scored a goal each in the 3-0 win. The U-15s are now second in the Texas Pre Academy League, one point behind the first-place Houston Dynamo with three games in-hand.
FC Dallas U-14s: 3
Solar Chelsea SC:2
The U-14s also played two matches over the weekend, starting with a 3-2 win over Solar. Duncan James, Alex Zendejas and Chase Niece each scored in the one-goal victory.

Andromeda FC:0
The U-14s face Andromeda on Sunday, posting a 4-0 win courtesy of an own goal and tallies by Alex Zendejas, David Martinez and Christian Nunez. The wins pushed the U-14s back up to first place in the Texas Pre Academy League with an overall record of 10-1-2.
FC Dallas U-13s: 8
Andromeda FC: 0
After being shutout the last two weeks, the U-13s took out their offensive frustrations on Andromeda in an 8-0 shutout. Javier Barajas scored a brace in the match, and Andy Contreras, Bryce Johnson, Carlos Garcia, Eric Secor, Bailey Craft and David Castillo scored a goal each in the thrashing. The win helped the U-13s climb back to first place in the Texas Pre Academy League with an overall record of 9-1-2.

All five teams will be back in action this weekend as the Academy teams face Sporting Kansas City for the second time this season while the Pre Academy squads face Solar Chelsea SC. Just like last time, FC Dallas and Sporting KC will split the difference and play in Oklahoma, this time at the University of Tulsa on Sunday, February 24. The Pre Academy teams, on the other hand, will play Solar on Saturday, February 23 at Wakeland High School.
