FRISCO, Texas - USL League One title-holders North Texas SC were presented with their 2019 League One Final championship rings last week at FC Dallas' Cocktails and Cleats event in the National Soccer Hall of Fame Club.
Let's take a closer look at the rings which commemorate North Texas' triumphant inaugural season.
The rings are made of sterling silver with the North Texas SC crest emblazoned on the face along with "2019 USL1 Champions" surrounding the border. Two rubies feature in place of the stars in the North Texas crest.
The ring's border is also encrusted with 56 stones which signify the 56 points accumulated over the regular season. Moving to the side of the ring, North Texas' overall record of 19 wins, six losses and five ties is etched on top of an outline of the USL League One Trophy. If you look closely, the words "56 goals" and "56 points" are inscribed on either side of the trophy.
On the other side, the ring is personalized with the owner's last name and position/title above and below the USL League One logo. Since this particular ring is owned by NTSC's General Manager Matt Denny, the words "Denny" and "GM" surround the League One logo.
The final feature on the rings are the initials "LH" surrounded by a circle on the inside of the band. The initials stand for Lamar Hunt, the FC Dallas and North Texas SC patriarch who was vital to the development of soccer in the United States.
