FRISCO, Texas – Throughout the 2019 season, MLS WORKS, Allstate and Univision have partnered to provide opportunities for underserved youth in MLS markets, including Dallas-Fort Worth.
This Sunday, every save recorded during the UniMás telecast of FC Dallas vs New York City FC will result in a donation of $500 worth of soccer equipment to Coppell Special Olympics. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Throughout the 2018 season, over $8,000 in donations were made to DFW area schools and charities as a result of the Every Save Makes a Difference program.Since 2015, the program has donated over $340,000 worth of equipment and has impacted over 170 difference organizations.
FC Dallas' eight nationally televised games on UniMas/Univision are eligible for this program in 2019:
