MESQUITE, Texas (September 13, 2024) – FC Dallas and NUU have announced an exciting partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas (BGCD) at Mesquite to launch the Imagination Station powered by NUU, a new initiative aimed at empowering local youth by providing access to cutting-edge technology. This collaboration is designed to inspire creativity, enhance digital skills, and unlock the potential of the next generation of innovators.

The Imagination Station, located at BGCD at Mesquite, will serve as a dedicated tech hub where young people can explore a variety of educational tools and programs. With the latest NUU devices, including tablets and laptops, the station will provide hands-on learning experiences focused on coding, robotics, and digital media. These resources will enable students to develop key skills needed for success in an increasingly tech-driven world.

“This STEAM Lab initiative with FC Dallas represents a proud moment for NUU," said NUU CEO Danny Sit. “Upgrading the Boys and Girls Club Mesquite Lab with our Tab 8 Plus tablets goes beyond the game, enhancing technology access and investing in the future of our community. Our goal is to make quality, affordable tech accessible to the next generation of innovators and creators. Partnering with FC Dallas amplifies this mission, showing our commitment to grassroots community growth and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow."

This initiative is part of a broader effort by FC Dallas and NUU to invest in the local community and provide young people with opportunities that extend beyond the playing field. By creating a space where children can access high-quality technology, the Imagination Station will help break down barriers and give underserved youth the chance to develop essential digital skills.

“FC Dallas is proud to partner with NUU to create this technology-driven space for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas at Mesquite. Both NUU and FC Dallas share a passion for providing enrichment opportunities on and off the field in communities across North Texas,” said FC Dallas Vice President of Partnership Marketing Megan Miller. “The renovated space for these students, featuring NUU’s technology, is something we were proud to build as part of this partnership. We look forward to seeing these students learn new skills they can use for the rest of their lives.”

The Imagination Station powered by NUU opened at the Mesquite Club on Sept. 12, with a launch event inviting the community to explore the new space and learn more about the programs on offer. The initiative will be supported by staff from BGCD, who will lead workshops and activities that foster creativity and innovation, from beginner coding sessions to advanced digital arts projects.
