FRISCO, Texas (March 25, 2025) – The FC Dallas Foundation announced today a new partnership with Amazon to increase access to the sport of soccer to kids across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Through the partnership, Amazon will be the presenting partner of the FC Dallas Foundation’s Gear Up Project and support the FC Dallas Foundation Field Development Program.
The Gear Up Project presented by Amazon will provide soccer gear to organizations in need locally and globally. Fans can support this initiative by purchasing gear directly through the FC Dallas Foundation’s Amazon Wish List. Amazon will also host gear collections at two FC Dallas regular season matches during the 2025 season.
"At Amazon, we’re committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work,” said Vickie Yakunin, Amazon’s head of community engagement in Texas. “We're thrilled to partner with the FC Dallas Foundation to help expand access to soccer through the Gear Up Project and Field Development Program. By combining our resources and shared commitment to community impact, we can help ensure more kids have the equipment and safe spaces they need to play, learn and grow."
Since 2011, the FC Dallas Foundation and its partners have developed 11 pitches around Dallas, Collin and Denton counties as part of the Field Development program. These pitches provide well-lit spaces where underserved youth can enjoy active lifestyles. More than 5,000 kids use these pitches weekly, and their combined value exceeds $2 million.
“We are excited to welcome Amazon as an Official FC Dallas Foundation Partner in 2025,” Brooke Leverette, FC Dallas Foundation and Community Relations Senior Director said. “Both of our organizations are committed to creating a positive impact in our communities, and we look forward to working together to expand access to the sport of soccer.”
