It Is What It Is

After losing 3-0 to Atlanta United last Sunday, FC Dallas’ winless streak is now at eight matches. It’s the longest 0-fer run for Dallas since an eight-game winless run from April 26-May 31, 2014. This ties the fourth-longest winless streak in club history and Dallas has been outscored 19-11 during the current run. FCD hasn’t won a match since an impressivecome-from-behind win against Montreal on July 22.

But Against Seattle At Home….

FC Dallas won both meetings at Toyota Stadium last season and is undefeated in its last four home matches against the Sounders in Frisco.

A Reunion…Sorta

Saturday’s match will also be a reunion of sorts. Among the 26 players who played on the US Men’s National Team roster that competed in the CONCACAF 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Costa Rica and September earlier this month, five played for FC Dallas and Seattle: Dallas’ Kellyn Acosta, Matt Hedges and Seattle’s Clint Dempsey, Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan.

Jordan Morris won’t play against Dallas. He is recovering from a strained hamstring.
