FRISCO - FC Dallas midfielders Bryan Acosta and Carlos Gruezo went head-to-head as their respective nations squared off at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ on Tuesday night to close out the March international window.
Acosta started and went the full 90 minutes for Honduras in Los Catrachos only friendly of the week, while Gruezo subbed into the match in the 67th minute after starting La Tri's friendly against the U.S. last Thursday. The duo has started every match they've been available in the midfield for FCD this season.
Jesse Gonzalez returned to U.S. Men's National Team camp in Houston after Saturday's win against Colorado and was on the bench as the Americans played to a 1-1 draw with Chile. The Homegrown has yet to appear in a match for the USMNT since completing his one-time change of association with FIFA in the summer of 2017.
All three players are expected back in Frisco on Wednesday and should be available for selection this weekend as FC Dallas travels to face Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.
