FRISCO - FC Dallas midfielder Carlos Gruezo made his 23rd appearance for the Ecuador National Team in a 1-0 loss on Thursday night against the U.S. Men's National Team in Orlando, Florida.
Gruezo was in the starting XI for Ecuador, drew one foul in the first half and played the full 90 minutes in the loss. The Americans scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute on a shot from Gyasi Zardes, who faced Gruezo and FCD last weekend in Columbus.
Ecuador will now head to Harrison, NJ for a friendly against Bryan Acosta and Honduras on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena.
