FRISCO – FC Dallas will miss three players for Saturday's match against D.C. United due to international duty. Two of those players suited up this week; Maynor Figueroa and Carlos Gruezo.
Figueroa wore the captain’s band and played all 90 minutes for Honduras in a 1-1 draw vs. United Arab Emirates.
It was Figueroa’s 147th cap for his country as he continues to increase his lead as Honduras’ most-capped player.
Midfielder Carlos Gruezo came in as a substitute in the 61st minute for Ecuador in a match against Qatar. Gruezo came into the match when Ecuador was down 3-0 and almost helped the team pull of a miraculous comeback, but they fell just short, losing 4-3. Gruezo was handed a yellow card in the 76th minute.
It was Gruezo's first match with the national team in over a year and he will get one more opportunity to play when Ecuador takes on Oman on Tuesday.
Reggie Cannon did not get on the pitch in the United States 4-2 loss to Colombia. Cannon will have another chance to get his first USMNT cap on Tuesday night when the U.S. face Peru at 6:30PM CT in Connecticut.
