FRISCO, Texas (May 17, 2023) – FC Dallas Homegrown Forward Jesús Ferreira has been named to MLSsoccer.com’s Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for Matchday 13after his two-goal performance in the 2-1 comeback win versus Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Toyota Stadium. This is Ferreira’s fourth Team of the Matchday appearance this season and 14th overall (including Team of the Week honors) since 2019.
Ferreira, 22, scored his seventh and eighth goals of the 2023 season. It was his eighth multi-goal game of his FC Dallas career. He has now scored 44 goals for FC Dallas and is two goals away from tying Kenny Cooper’s goal-scoring total of 46 goals. Jason Kreis is the all-time goal scorer for the club with 91 goals.
This is the fifth time in 2023 FC Dallas has earned MLSsoccer.com’s Team of the Matchday honors.
