While on loan from the first team, FC Dallas players are still making an impact on their respective teams, especially in the state of Oklahoma.
On Saturday, FC Dallas third-round draft pick Colin Bonner scored his professional goal for USL affiliate team OKC Energy in their 1-0 win over San Antonio FC to continue a six-game unbeaten run.
Bonner headed a shot past San Antonio goalkeeper Josh Ford after OKC midfielder Sebastian Dalgaard fed him with a cross from the right side into the penalty box.
Alongside Bonner, FC Dallas loanee Coy Craft had a strong performance, leading the team with five shots. That wasn’t Craft’s first action for the team, as he netted a 40-yard strike back on April 9th to give the Energy a 2-2 tie with Saint Louis FC. That was the 18-year-old’s first goal in his first appearance on loan.
Elsewhere, FC Dallas loanee Moises Hernandez has started three times for NASL side Rayo OKC and has logged nine interceptions.
Next Wednesday, June 1st, the Energy will take on Rayo OKC in their U.S. Open Cup matchup. FC Dallas will play the winner.
